About the Service we provide

East Park Care Centre is truly a family run concern.  Mrs Wilma Leitch opened the Centre back in 1984, with just 4 service users. Her daughter Jane Haskayne joined the company in 1989.  Mrs Leitch extended the home from 4-12 bedrooms and in 1995 extended to house 21 service users.  We are not a nursing home but will provide end of life care for existing service users if deemed necessary after a “best interest meeting” concludes that we are able to provide the care required.

It is a known fact that Pembrokeshire has an ageing population it is our intention in to carry on providing care for the older people with high support needs, those with ARBD and its associated health problems and palliative care as appropriate.

At present East Park can provide care for adults over the age of 40.  We can meet a wide range of needs for the following service users:

Older people with high support needs due to physical frailty, chronic health conditions and/or some form of sensory impairment. We do not offer services for people living with severe dementia but will provide care for existing service users if deemed necessary after a “best interest meeting” concludes that we are in a position to provide the care required.
