East Park Care Centre is situated in the quiet village of Jeffreyston in South Pembrokeshire. It is one of a cluster of rural communities including nearby Carew, Cresselly, Loveston and Reynalton. The village is small, but is centrally located, and has regular bus services to all of the local towns including Carmarthen (26 miles) Haverfordwest (14 miles), Pembroke/Pembroke Dock (10 miles), Tenby (7 miles) and Narbeth (6 miles). It has a beautiful church, and a public house within walking distance, nearby Kilgetty having several further amenities including a school, shops, railway station, supermarket, post office, chemist, hairdresser, and barbers.
Saundersfoot is 2 miles away and this is where our main GP surgery is based. It has a smaller subsidiary surgery in Kilgetty. Our District Nurses are based in Tenby, and the majority of other services such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and audiology are available at the South Pembrokeshire Hospital in Pembroke Dock. Other local hospitals include Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest, Tenby Cottage Hospital in Tenby and Glanwilli Hospital in Carmarthen. Local NHS dentists are available in the area.

For leisure activities, the seaside village of Saundersfoot is just a short drive away. It boasts a long sandy beach, with a busy harbour. Both Saundersfoot and Tenby have many fabulous coffee shops and restaurants. Leisure centres are available in most of the surrounding towns, and attractions such as Folly Farm, Carew Castle, Colby Woodlands, Oakwood and Bluestone Resort are all within 20 minutes’ drive. The country of Pembrokeshire boasts both coastal and country drives with exceptional views and beauty.

The church in the village is an Anglican Church. Our nearest Baptist Church is Ebenezer Baptist chapel in Cold Inn (1 mile), and our nearest Roman Catholic Church is St Brides Church in Saundersfoot. There is a mosque in Milford Haven, branches of Jehovah Witness spread around the county.

The church hall next door to the Care Centre hosts bingo evenings, lent lunches, various fund-raising fayres and bazaars, music evenings as well as church related activities. The Regency Hall in Saundersfoot supports a dementia friends club, a senior citizen friendship club, monthly movies, lunch clubs to name a few. The New Hedges Village Hall hosts a range of activities.
