Job Title:          Cook 

Location:        Jeffreyston, Kilgetty, Pembrokeshire, SA68 0RE

Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for potential candidates who live in the local area and can travel to work daily.

Job type:        Part time/Permanent

Hours:             22 hours per week working a 11-hour shift
 

Main Responsibilities:

To prepare appetizing and 3 nutritious meals including dessert on a daily basis at an appropriate time.
To ensure that the kitchen is hygienically clean at all times
To offer and prepare, if necessary, at least 2 main options for lunch each day.
To oversee the smooth running of the kitchen
To ensure all cleaning is completed as per cleaning rota
To check stock weekly and place order for with suppliers
To report any faults/defects in the kitchen to the appropriate person or the manager in charge
To be fully aware of the fire policy and the awareness of food hygiene regulations

Qualifications, Training and Experience

Previous experience is required, but not essential as training will be given
To have a genuine interest for older people
To have good communication skills
To have the ability to work effectively within a team environment
